Mr. Horvitz has been onboard with the company since its inception in 1977. When Dominion was first founded, he coined the term “bridge loan” relative to Beverly Hills residential estate homes that were for sale and wanted to tap into their equity. Mr. Horvitz’s innovative management style continues to be progressive and relevant in today’s changing ever-changing environment. In 1980, Dominion joined the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and began selling commercial loans into the marketplace. Later after obtaining a security dealer’s license, through Mr. Horvitz’ guidance, Dominion moved into the CMBS market as a pioneer originator. Mr. Horvitz saw a reason for Dominion to change course to include healthcare real estate lending in the mid 1980’s, a product that has been quite successful in an expanding world market of debt and equity.

Mr. Horvitz has a B.A. degree from California State University Northridge in history and an Executive MBA from UCLA. He is an advisor to Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business Administration as an editorial review board member. Mr. Horvitz is a current member of the Mortgage Banker’s Association of America, a former Advisory Director of a Savings and Loan, and a past advisory member of the American Medical Association credit committee. Mr. Horvitz holds a California Broker’s license and an NMLS license.

Mr. Horvitz is a past contributor of articles to Business Week magazine and other real estate and finance periodicals and has been on television shows talking about the climate of real estate borrowing.
